Package overview
Pairing Luang Prabang with Vientiane gives Indian agents a fuller picture of Laos than a Luang Prabang-only add-on, without adding the extra travel days a full country tour needs. Luang Prabang delivers the UNESCO-listed temples, Mount Phousi sunset views and Kuang Si Falls that make Laos worth selling as a genuine alternative to more familiar stops; Vientiane adds the country's political and religious centre, from the ancient Wat Sisaket to the Patuxay Monument.
The two cities are linked by a short domestic flight rather than the long road transfer, keeping the itinerary to five days without cutting sightseeing time. It suits clients on a tighter schedule who still want more than one Laos city, and works well combined with a longer Vietnam, Thailand or Cambodia trip. November to February gives the most reliable weather for Kuang Si Falls and the Mount Phousi sunset.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang, city tour
After settling in, the afternoon covers Wat Visoun and its distinctive Watermelon Stupa, the nearby Wat Aham shrine, and Wat Mai. From there, the group climbs Mount Phousi for views over the town and the Mekong River at sunset, before browsing the Night Market, known for handwoven textiles made by local and hill-tribe artisans.
Day 2: Luang Prabang city tour and Pak Ou Caves
Further sightseeing around Luang Prabang's temples and former Royal Palace is followed by a boat trip on the Mekong to the Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha images have been placed inside a limestone cliff face by pilgrims over many generations.
Day 3: Kuang Si Falls, fly to Vientiane
Clients who want an early start can take part in the tak bat, the daily alms-giving ritual in which monks collect sticky rice from residents at dawn — a tradition still practised only in Laos among Buddhist countries. After breakfast, the group transfers to Kuang Si Falls to swim or walk the forest trails, before a domestic flight to Vientiane.
Day 4: Vientiane full-day city tour
Vientiane is a low-rise, unhurried capital compared with other Southeast Asian cities, built around a stretch of the Mekong riverfront. A full day here typically covers its most significant temples and monuments, along with time to walk the riverside promenade and browse local markets.
Day 5: Departure
Transfer to Wattay International Airport in Vientiane for the onward or homeward flight, closing out a trip that has covered both of Laos's most-visited cities.
