Package overview
This is the fullest version of our Phnom Penh–Siem Reap combination: two nights in the capital allow a complete sightseeing day plus a Mekong sunset cruise, and three nights in Siem Reap cover the main Angkor circuit as well as a dedicated Tonle Sap boat day.
The trip closes on a different note from our other itineraries — a buffet dinner with a traditional Apsara dance performance on the Tonle Sap excursion day — making it a suitable finale for agents packaging a complete first-time Cambodia holiday rather than a fast city-to-city pass.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh
Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport and private transfer to the hotel without an accompanying guide. The rest of the day is free for independent rest ahead of the Phnom Penh sightseeing the next morning.
Day 2: Phnom Penh sightseeing, Mekong sunset cruise (B)
After breakfast, the morning's sightseeing touches on sites connected to Cambodia's 1953 independence from France before continuing to Wat Phnom Daun Penh, the small hill temple at the centre of the capital and one of its best-known landmarks.
Free time for shopping at Central Market follows, along with a visit to Wat Ounalom, before the day closes with an hour-long sunset cruise along the Mekong River. The evening is free on return to the hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Siem Reap (B)
Breakfast and check-out are followed by the overland transfer to Siem Reap, around six hours by road with the bus ticket included. On arrival, the group is welcomed and transferred to the hotel to check in and rest ahead of the Angkor day.
Day 4: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm circuit (B)
The full day opens at Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world and unusual among Khmer temples for facing west, then moves into Angkor Thom via the South Gate to Bayon Temple and the 11th-century Baphuon, built for the Hindu god Shiva.
From the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King, with a lunch stop near Srah Srong (own account), the circuit continues to Ta Prohm and its banyan-root corridors, closing with sunset from Bakheng Mountain temple.
Day 5: Tonle Sap boat trip, dinner with Apsara dance (B/D)
An 08:30 start takes the group by private boat onto Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Asia, to see floating villages, a floating market, a floating school and a health centre built on the water. Les Artisans d'Angkor and the Senteurs d'Angkor natural-products workshop follow.
A short walk in front of the King's Residence takes in the shrine where locals worship with jasmine and lotus flowers, before the day ends with a buffet dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance.
Day 6: Transfer to Siem Reap Airport (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, then a private transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for the onward or return flight; no further sightseeing is scheduled on the departure day.
