Package overview
Three nights in Ho Chi Minh City open the trip with Cu Chi Tunnels, a full-day Mekong Delta excursion and a half-day walk through the city's colonial landmarks, before a five-hour drive up the coast to Mui Ne. Two nights there include free time on the beach and a jeep tour timed to reach the White and Red Sand Dunes for sunset.
A further four-hour drive climbs into the central highlands for a single night in Da Lat, covering Langbiang Mountain, Datanla Waterfall and Da Lat Flower Park before departure from Lien Khuong Airport. Because every leg runs by road, this suits agents who want scenery variety — city, coast, desert dunes and highlands — without adding a domestic flight to a six-night trip.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City (about a 30-minute, 10 km transfer from the airport)
Ho Chi Minh City, still widely known as Saigon, moves at a faster pace than Hanoi, with a skyline of new towers rising over French colonial landmarks and a street life that runs well into the night. Arrival afternoons are usually spent settling in, with an optional first walk through the downtown district near the hotel.
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels and half-day Ho Chi Minh City tour (about 1½ hours / 70 km one way)
The morning covers the Cu Chi Tunnels, the underground network built by Vietnamese resistance fighters during decades of conflict, with a chance to see original and widened tunnel sections and wartime displays.
In the afternoon, the tour continues on foot through the former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, the Continental Hotel, the Opera House and City Hall.
Day 3: Mekong Delta tour (about 2 hours / 80 km one way)
The drive southwest crosses into the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's rice bowl, for a boat cruise along the Vam Xep canal to a small islet and a walk through shaded, palm-lined trails past local villages. Stops along the way take in a bee farm, a small coconut workshop and a rowing-boat passage through narrow canals before returning to the city by road.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne by road (about 5 hours / 220 km one way)
The drive northeast along the coast reaches Mui Ne by early afternoon. After checking in, the rest of the day is free to enjoy the South China Sea shoreline that has made this stretch a long-standing beach stop on the south Vietnam circuit.
Day 5: Mui Ne jeep tour, sand dunes
The morning is left free before a 2pm jeep tour covers Fairy Stream, a fishing village, and the White and Red Sand Dunes, timed to end with sunset over the dunes.
Day 6: Mui Ne to Da Lat by road (about 4 hours / 170 km one way)
The drive climbs from the coast into the central highlands, arriving in Da Lat's noticeably cooler air by early afternoon. After check-in, the day covers Langbiang Mountain, Datanla Waterfall and Da Lat Flower Park.
Day 7: Departure from Da Lat
The morning is free until transfer to Lien Khuong Airport for the onward or homeward flight, closing a routing that runs entirely overland from Ho Chi Minh City through Mui Ne's dunes to Da Lat's highlands without a single domestic flight.
