Where the standard Chiang Mai & Bangkok combo spends three days in the north, this route pushes to four, adding a full day trip up to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle — the river junction where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet. A short speedboat crossing to Don Sao Island in Laos is included, so guests need their original passport for that day.
The itinerary still closes with a Bangkok city tour before departure, but the north carries most of the itinerary's weight here: elephant camp, hilltop temple, silk villages, the Golden Triangle and Wat Rong Khun's White Temple all feature across four days rather than being compressed into a quick add-on.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, the country's second-largest city and known as the Northern Rose, offers a different rhythm from Bangkok, with an old walled town of temples and craft markets.
Guests are free to explore the well-known Night Bazaar on their own in the evening after check-in.
Day 2: Chiang Mai city tour
The morning is spent at Mae Sa Elephant Camp, one of the larger elephant camps in the region, where guests can watch elephants bathe and, if they choose, take a ride.
After lunch, the tour continues to Sankampang for a look at Thai silk and handicraft production, then drives roughly 45 minutes uphill to Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai's most significant religious sites.
Day 3: Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai via the Golden Triangle
The day heads north to Sop Ruak to view the Golden Triangle, the river junction where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet.
A private speedboat then crosses to Don Sao Island on the Laos side — guests should carry their original passport for this crossing — before continuing to the old city of Chiang Saen to see its ancient ruins and temples.
Day 4: Golden Triangle to Chiang Rai, return to Chiang Mai
After lunch, the group visits Wat Rong Khun, the striking White Temple built from white clay and glass that reflects sunlight across its intricate carvings, before the drive back to Chiang Mai.
Day 5: Chiang Mai to Bangkok, city and temple tour
Guests are transferred to Chiang Mai Airport for the flight to Bangkok, followed by a city tour covering some of the capital's most recognisable temples.
The tour includes Wat Traimit, home to the world's largest solid gold seated Buddha, located near the end of Chinatown's Yaowarat Road close to Hualamphong railway station.
Day 6: Departure from Bangkok
After breakfast and check-out, there's time to browse Bangkok's shopping districts for souvenirs and handicrafts before the transfer to the airport for departure.
