Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport
Guests land at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), roughly an hour's drive from the city center, and transfer privately to their hotel. Dinner is included on arrival day, and no sightseeing is scheduled, leaving the evening free for guests to settle in before the fuller program begins the next morning.
Day 2: Sultan's Palace and Borobudur by VW jeep
The morning is spent at the Sultan's Palace, the walled royal compound at the heart of Yogyakarta and still home to the reigning Sultan's household and a working center of Javanese court culture. Day 4: Full day shopping on Malioboro Street
The day is dedicated to Malioboro Street, Yogyakarta's main shopping thoroughfare, known for batik, handicrafts, silverwork and street food stalls running its full length into the evening. It is a lower-intensity day than the previous two, better suited to browsing at a relaxed pace. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
Day 5: Free morning and airport transfer
