Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Yogyakarta, transfer to hotel
Guests are met on arrival and transferred privately to their hotel, timed to each traveller's flight schedule, with the rest of the day free before the early sunrise start the next morning. No sightseeing is scheduled on this first day.
Day 2: Punthuk Setumbu sunrise viewpoint and Borobudur VW tour
The day begins before dawn with a hike up to Punthuk Setumbu, a hillside viewpoint known for its sunrise views of Borobudur silhouetted against the Merapi and Merbabu volcanoes. Later in the morning, the group visits Borobudur itself on a VW convoy tour, the ninth-century Buddhist temple whose terraced stupas are one of Java's best-known sights.
Day 3: Merapi or Timang jeep excursion and Walisongo sites
This day covers an off-road jeep excursion to either Mount Merapi's volcanic lava fields or Timang Beach on the south coast, with local motorbike ojek transport used for some stretches of the Walisongo pilgrimage circuit included in the package. Parking and entrance fees are covered as part of the itinerary.
Day 4: Departure, transfer to airport
After breakfast, guests check out and are transferred to the airport for their departure flight, closing out the four-day Yogyakarta package with no further activities scheduled on this last morning. The transfer timing is set around each traveller's own flight schedule.
